Crystalline casting graphite
GOST 5279-74
Description
It is used for drilling in the oil and gas industry. Graphite is used as an anti-wear and lubricating additive. Ease of transportation and use, unlike liquid lubricants.
Properties
In appearance, graphite is a dark gray crystalline powder with a weak metallic luster. The chemical composition of the powder depends on the method of its preparation, as well as on the purity of the raw materials. Depending on the technology, flux can be used as a liquid, paste or powder. Aluminum powder has a gray color with a metallic sheen, does not contain foreign inclusions and cohesive lumps that do not crumble from a light touch.
Characteristics
Graphite is hydrophobic, insoluble in water
Lubricating effect of graphite is 50% less than oil
Anti-wear properties are low
When combining 1% graphite with 10% oil or 0.3% sulfonol, the effect is significantly enhanced than in each additive separately.
