Drilling reagent OSB-50
TU U 24.6-24709453-007:2008
OSB-50, according to its physicochemical characteristics, is a synergistic mixture of highly oxidized bitumen, salts of water-soluble humic acids, and high molecular weight polymers.
OSB-50 is a fluid loss reducer, especially at high bottomhole temperatures. In addition, the reagent has highly effective inhibitory properties to protect well walls. OSB-50 suppresses the swelling of clayey rocks, prevents contact of unstable rocks with drilling fluid and dispersion of clayey cuttings.
The recommended concentration of OSB-50 in solution is 3%. The effectiveness of the reagent increases in the presence of hydrocarbons in the drilling fluid. In addition to its main functions, the reagent helps improve the quality of the filter cake, reduce the coefficient of friction, and increase the emulsifying ability of the solution.
During the drilling process, the reagent is adsorbed on the surface of the drilled cuttings and the walls of the well. Replenish the concentration of OSB-50 in the solution if necessary, depending on the diameter of the well, drilling speed and mining and geological conditions.
