Drilling reagent of medium degree of hydrolysis “Metapol” M is a water-soluble powder of white or pale yellow color.
Used to regulate the rheological properties of clay drilling fluid in order to reduce viscosity, fluid loss, and suppress swelling of drilled rocks.
The encapsulating effect of the polymer on drilled particles leads to a decrease in viscosity and ultimate statistical shear stress over a wide temperature range.
The consumption for treating the drilling fluid “Metapol” M is from 0.2 to 0.5% in terms of the commercial product.
